Nicodemus - 'Fatha Demus'
I
have been a fan of Nicodemus since the 1970's and I got the chance to meet
him in the 1980's . with my growing love for Reggae and DanceHall.
I had the pleasure of seeing Nicodemus DJing live on stage around the
sounds in NYC. The start of Massive B Label in 1991 Nicodemus was
the first DJ I voiced.Through the years Nicodemus would come by my studio in Brooklyn and voice a tune or a dubplate. Nicodemus always had a friendly vibe. Always talking to everyone in the studio, he made all the younger artists feel comfortable. This LP is an accumulation of songs Nicodumus recorded over an 8 year period with a touch up and a remix to make it our best effort. Two months before Nicodemus passing, he came back to Brooklyn and we linked to do some studio work. After all this time I realized I had compliled and entire album. Well "Nico" always told me he loved to come by Massive B Studio "cause the business got dealt with good" as he would say "yes Bobby Konders you deal with the artist good." So here you have the Mssive B Nicodemus LP on some wicked Rub-a-Dub and Dancehall Riddims. To all the Nicodemus fans we hope you enjoy and we bring back some memories, to all the new fans and DJs listen and learn from one of the greatest Riddim Riders. We will mis you Old Veteran- Nicodemus. - Bobby Konders |
